AIG Domain Strategy

AIG has selected Corporation Services Company (CSC) as its new Domain Registrar. Transfer of AIG’s domain portfolio to a new Registrar is in-progress. No action is required by website owners.

Domains are an important intellectual property asset of AIG. All registration of domains must be through the DMS Domain Team.

Under no circumstances should domains be registered by an employee or agent /vendor of the company.

To register a domain, please submit a request via the DMS Service Management Tool. A member of the DMS Domain Management Team in New York will contact you if additional information to facilitate the registration is required.

Chartis Domains: In consultation with Chartis Website Owners, AIG Branding, IT and Legal Stakeholders, we will begin to decommission Chartis Insurance Domains in alignment with AIG’s decision to allow the Chartis Trademark to expire in 2019. We will continue to maintain a small number of Chartis Domains for run-off businesses and active policies.

Website owners will receive direct communications regarding the impacted domains during the month of March.

Website owners/employees/AIG affiliates are encouraged to report any suspected infringement by sending an email to us mentioning “Infringement” in the subject line. If you need any further help or advice on domains and how we manage them, then please contact DMSGovernance@aig.com.
